Pain clinic holds grand opening

CAPS Paincare will hold a grand opening celebration of its Pain Management Clinic and Surgical Facility from 4-7 p.m. today at its Westmont clinic, located at 700 E. Ogden Ave., Suite 111.

CAPS employs a multidisciplinary approach to pain management and has treated more than 5,000 people suffering from pain. It has had locations in Indiana and Illinois for 15 years.

“We are committed to CAPS Paincare’s mission to empower our patients and their families to manage chronic pain in a manner that will make a positive difference in the quality of their lives” said Medical Director Antoine Chami, M.D., DABA, DABPM. “I am most excited, however, about this new clinic near my home, and the prospect of offering my service to my neighbors, both patients and physicians.”

Prudential Rubloff names sales leader

David Bracy, branch manager of Prudential Rubloff’s Hinsdale office, announced Kristin Berger as sales leader for December.

Tracy Anderson and Hosam Dweydari also recorded top sales for December.

Prenatal University offers education

Karissa Knickelbein of La Grange has joined the faculty of Prenatal University, located at 950 N. York Road, Suite 102, Hinsdale.

Prenatal University is an approach to childbirth education that offers women support throughout their pregnancy, birth experience, and early parenthood in one location. Courses begin Feb. 13; and registration is required.

Expectant and new parents can choose from a portfolio of traditional and non-traditional courses. Prenatal University also offers courses such as Hypnobirthing, “Baby Boot Camp,” “Balancing Babies with Big Brother, Big Sister,” and prenatal and postnatal Pilates. All classes also offer expectant and new moms an opportunity to network with other women who are going through similar experiences during and after pregnancy.

Prenatal University was founded by OMG Women’s Healthcare and its staff physician, board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist Steven R. Daube of Hinsdale. OMG Women’s Healthcare is a private medical practices that also staff certified nurse midwives and doulas.

Development
director named for
Community House

The Community House in Hinsdale has announced that Michael Roth has been appointed as development director.

Community House’s executive director, Jenifer Fabian, states, “We are delighted to have Michael join our remarkable staff. He brings a wealth of development expertise to our organization.”

Fabian further explains that “Michael has a proven track record of generating significant growth, visibility and profitability for his former organization, the Center for Disability & Elder Law.”

Additionally, Fabian says “The Community House is at an exciting moment in our 71-year history of providing quality recreation, as well as social services, including counseling, education support, and Autism services. We are proud to provide programming that responds to the needs of our surrounding communities, and as we prepare for our upcoming 75th anniversary, we are focused on getting the word out about the impact of what we do. Michael is a phenomenal addition to our dedicated team.”

Previously, Roth served as the executive director of the Center for Disability & Elder Law. CDEL is a nonprofit, legal service organization, located in downtown Chicago, providing pro bono legal services to low-income seniors and individuals with disabilities. Prior to joining CDEL, he worked as an associate with a Chicago-based law firm, concentrating his practice on estate planning for peoples with special needs. He also served as a member of CDEL’s board of directors from 2006-07, taking on numerous pro bono matters.

Roth serves as a member of the State of Illinois, Office of The Attorney General’s Disability Advisory Council. Additionally, he is the former chair of the Mental Health & Disability Law Committee of the Chicago Bar Association’s Young Lawyer’s Section. Roth is also a member of the John Marshall Law School’s Elder Law Advisory Board. In 2010, he was the recipient of the John Marshall Law School’s 2010 Diversity Award. The award recognizes John Marshall alumni and members of Chicago’s legal community who have shown a commitment to promoting diversity and service in the legal profession. In 2011, he was appointed to the Mary Todd Lincoln Mental Health Symposium Committee by Illinois Supreme Court Justice Anne M. Burke.

Roth grew up in the northwest suburbs, where he resides with his wife, Allison, and their 3-year-old son, Bowie. He attended Loyola Academy College Preparatory School on the North Shore and graduated from Fairfield University in 1999. He earned his Juris Doctor degree from the John Marshall Law School in 2003.
