Veterans’ benefits session slated for La Grange

LA GRANGE — The Robert E. Coulter, Jr. American Legion Post 1941 will host a five-hour open house Feb. 13 on veterans’ benefits.

Information will be available from 2 to 7 p.m. at the post, 900 S. La Grange Road.

Chuck Bosko of LaGrange Park, an accredited service officer for the American Legion, will field questions on how to submit a claim with the Veterans Benefits Administration pertaining to injuries, wounds or illnesses sustained while on active duty.

Ray Toczek, also an accredited service officer for the American Legion, will give a presentation from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on veterans’ benefits.

The post offers a Wi-Fi connection so veterans may submit a claim online or check on a claim’s progress with proper credentials during the open house.
