Martin Hogan, DDS, joins Loyola University Health System in the division of general dentistry. He is an associate professor in the Department of Surgery at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine and will lead the General Dentistry Division’s residency program.
“I am thrilled to join Loyola University Health System and to be working with such a great network of medical professionals,” said Hogan. “I love working with the residents and finding opportunities for them to learn more about their specific interests as well as introducing them to a wide variety of opportunities in the dental field.”
Hogan brings his expertise in cosmetic dentistry, implants and dental treatment for the medically compromised patient to Loyola’s Oral Health Center located on the main medical campus in Maywood. In addition to caring for general dentistry patients he is a part of multidisciplinary teams, providing dental care to a wide variety of patients: children, individuals with special needs, those being treated for cancer and who have had transplantation surgery.
Before joining Loyola, Hogan was an associate at the Advanced Family Dental Care practice in Schaumburg. He earned his doctorate of dental surgery at University of Michigan School of Dentistry. He completed his residency in general dental practice at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and worked there in hospital dentistry before going into private practice.
He is a board certified dental examiner and a member of numerous professional organizations including the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Academy of Sports Dentistry and Chicago Dental Society.
When not seeing patients he enjoys playing hockey, attending sporting events, being outdoors, fishing, skiing and travel.
Hogan sees patients at the Loyola Oral Health Center located at 2160 S. First Ave., Maywood. To make an appointment call (888)-LUHS-888 or visit loyolamedicine.org.
