The YMCA celebrates an early Mardi Gras

Even though it was Friday, the Greater La Grange YMCA hosted a celebration of Fat Tuesday a few days early Feb. 10 at the YMCA facility in La Grange Park.
At a family-friendly Mardi Gras party, patrons were invited to play games, enjoy popcorn and get their faces painted.
Party-goers also had the chance to make their own masks, a hallmark of festivities in New Orleans, which will culminate Feb. 21, before the Christian observance of Lent begins the following day.
