La Grange plans events to honor veterans

LA GRANGE — La Grange residents have several opportunities to honor honor veterans, beginning Nov. 9.
Lyons Township High School invites veterans to either of two school assemblies Nov. 9 honoring them for military service.
Veterans are asked to arrive a half hour in advance. Assemblies are scheduled at 9:15 a.m. at the south campus, 4900 S. Willow Springs Road in Western Springs and at 1:15 p.m. at the north campus, 100 S. Brainard Ave. in La Grange.
The Robert E. Coulter, Jr. Post 1941 of the American Legion also will host their observance at 11 a.m. Nov. 11 at 900 S. La Grange Road, La Grange.
The post also is sponsoring a pancake breakfast from 7:30 a.m. to noon Nov. 18 with proceeds used to fund programs benefitting veterans.
