Westchester police blotter for Nov. 27

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Westchester Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.
ALCOHOL
Christine Brummitt, 48, of 4114 Ridgeland, Stickney, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane use and driving without insurance after a traffic stop at 31st Street and Wolf Road at 9:31 p.m. on Nov. 21. Brummitt’s car was seen swerving and driving into oncoming traffic on westbound 31st Street.
BURGLARY
A bicycle was taken from a garage in the 700 block of Bristol between 5 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. Sunday. Signs of forced entry were reported.
Two televisions were taken from a home in the 700 block of Suffolk between 5 p.m. Nov. 22 and 12:15 a.m. on Nov. 23. Signs of forced entry were reported.
Jewelry and a laptop computer were stolen from a home in the 1600 block of Heidorn on Nov. 21.
DRUGS
Three people were charged with possession of heroin after a traffic stop in the 800 block of South Mannheim Road at 1:09 p.m. on Nov. 13. David M. Savchenko, 22, of 35W356 Park Ave., St. Charles; Lindsey N. Parker, 26, of 4001 Royal Fox Drive, St. Charles; and Brandon J. Thurston, 19, of 1450 Adams Ave., St. Charles, were arrested by undercover police detectives who saw the three behaving suspiciously while parked in a parking lot. Police approached the car and saw one of the suspects drop a small foil packet onto the floor of the car. Police recovered 30 grams of heroin, with a street value of $1,000. Also recovered were numerous hypodermic needles, syringes and paraphernalia.
Two men were charged with possession of heroin while parked in a parking lot in the 800 block of South Mannheim Road at 7:17 p.m. on Nov. 13. Ross Weisbruch, 25, of 2407 Maple, Rolling Meadows, and Jeffery L. Owen, 25, of 422 N. Elm St, Mount Prospect, were arrested after an officer saw Weisbruch with a needle.
THEFT
Barry Peak, 63, of 4927 S. Hoyne, Chicago, was charged with felony retail theft after he was accused of taking merchandise from Walgreens, 10345 Roosevelt Road, at 8:11 a.m. on Nov. 2. He was stopped near the store and the merchandise was recovered.
Jewelry was taken from a home in the 1100 block of Gardner Road between 7:28 a.m. and 3:26 p.m. on Nov. 15. Signs of forced entry were discovered.
