Crime Briefs in La Grange for Dec. 4

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the La Grange Police Department.

DISTURBANCE
Several gunshots were reported at 2:33 a.m. Sunday near 30 East Ave. Police responded but were unable to determine the source of the noise.
Twelve kids on skateboards were asked at 4:49 p.m. Friday to leave the fountain plaza next to the Village Hall, 53 S. La Grange Road, and they complied.
Silly string was reported at 9:09 p.m. Nov. 29 to a home on the first block of North Brainard Avenue.
A 60-year-old homeless man was sent on his way at 9:01 a.m. Nov. 29, after he allegedly yelled at customers outside Starbucks, 38 S. La Grange Road.
Someone rummaged through a package meant for pickup outside a home on the 500 block of South Ashland Avenue, it was reported at 4:18 p.m. Nov. 28. Nothing was reported missing.
MOVING VIOLATION
Regina A. McCormick, 21, of 9047 Bartlett Ave., Brookfield, was cited at 9:56 a.m. Nov. 26 for failure to yield or stop at an intersection in a two-car crash at Ogden and Ashland avenues. McCormick’s passenger, a 52-year-old Brookfield woman was transported for treatment at Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospital. McCormick, who was headed north on Ashland, said she thought traffic on Ogden had a stop sign and it was safe to make a left-hand turn onto Ogden Avenue.~.
