Proviso Township offices uncontested

HILLSIDE — Members of the Township Alliance Party are unopposed in bids for Proviso Township offices in the April 9 election.
The slate is comprised of incumbents Michael Corrigan of LaGrange Park for supervisor and Steven Zawaski of Western Springs for assessor. Anthony Williams of Melrose Park, a trustee since 2005, is running for clerk.
For four four-year trustee terms, Mari Herrell of Bellwood is seeking a re-election with Joseph Christopher of Westchester, Clarence Thomas of Broadview and Evelyn Chavez from Stone Park.
The office of collector, held by Eric Sawchuk of Brookfield, will be phased out in 2013.
