Updated: February 19, 2013 11:39AM

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the La Grange and LaGrange Park police departments. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.

La Grange

DOMESTIC BATTERY

Fernando Santana, 40, of the 300 block of East Calendar Avenue, was charged at 2:33 a.m. Jan. 11 with domestic battery stemming from an incident at his home.

MOVING VIOLATION

Matthew D. Levy, 34, of 4601 Johnson Ave., Western Springs, was cited at 7:48 a.m. Jan. 7 for failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk after his car struck a man crossing at 47th Street and Gilbert Ave. A 61-year-old La Grange man was transported to Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospital. Levy told police as he was turning left from southbound Gilbert Avenue to head east on 47th Street he didn’t see the man in the crosswalk.

Donald Bosi, 62, of 2418 Euclid Ave., Berwyn, was cited at 4:23 p.m. Jan. 8 for driving in the wrong lane after his truck struck a vehicle at East Avenue and 47th Street. The other driver, a 29-year-old Brookfield man, was transported to Loyola Medical Center for treatment. As he was headed north in the center lane on East Avenue, Bosi told police a car traveled from the curb lane into the center land and cut him off, causing him to go into the left-turn lane. The car cut off Bosi again, causing him to cross into the southbound lane and hit an oncoming car, he told police. Some 30 gallons of diesel fuel was spilled at the crash site.

Stephen B. Linn, 48, of 201 Sunset Ave., La Grange, was cited at 6:18 p.m. Jan. 8 for disobeying a signal indicating the approach of a train when his vehicle was struck by a freight train with 36 cars on the Indiana Harbor Belt tracks near 47th Street and East Avenue. Linn told police he thought his car was clear of the tracks as he was waiting to cross while headed east on 47th Street. The right front side of the train’s lead car struck the rear passenger’s side of Linn’s SUV. No one was taken to a hospital.

A 17-year-old Berwyn boy was cited at 3:32 p.m. Jan. 13 for driving too fast for conditions after his vehicle crashed into a second vehicle at Burlington and Ogden avenues. A 14-year-old Brookfield boy, who was a passenger in the second vehicle, was transported to Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospital.

TOBACCO

A 17-year-old La Grange girl and two 16-year-old boys were cited at 3:04 p.m. Jan. 10 for possession of tobacco by a minor at Elm Park, Elm and Brainard avenues.

LaGrange Park
