Seventh Avenue principal to  retire in June

LA GRANGE — After 10 years at the helm, Sherry Krzyzanski is retiring in June as principal of Seventh Avenue Elementary School.

The move caps a 28-year career in education.

Krzyzanski earned a bachelor’s degree in English education and a master’s degree in diagnostic and remedial education form Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. She earned a second master’s degree in administration and supervision from Roosevelt University in Chicago and completed coursework for a doctorate in curriculum and instruction from Northern Illinois University.

La Grange-Countryside Elementary District 105 has begun the search for a replacement and is accepting candidates’ applications through Jan. 31 online at www.d105.net.
