La Grange police blotter for Feb. 26

La Grange
DRUGS
Fernando A. Garcia, 23, of 2523 S. Central Park Ave., Chicago, was charged at 1:17 a.m. Feb. 23 with possession of marijuana and being in a park after hours following a stop at Sedgwick Park, East Avenue and 47th Street. A 23-year-old Chicago woman also in the car was issued a field contact card.
MOVING VIOLATION
Roger C. Teska, 44, of 803 Maple Ave., Lisle, was cited at 9:59 p.m. Feb. 23 for driving too fast for conditions after his vehicle collided with another vehicle, both heading west on Ogden Avenue near Brainard Avenue. Teska was transported for treatment to Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospital. Neither the other driver nor a passenger in Teska’s vehicle were injured.
LaGrange Park
ALCOHOL
Jose R. Nava, 31, of 3747 W. 79th Place, Chicago, was charged at 2:14 a.m. Feb. 13 with driving under the influence of alcohol, transporting open alcohol, speeding and improper lane use following a stop on the 900 block of La Grange Road. Police observed Nava’s vehicle narrowly miss a head-on collision while headed south on La Grange Road near Homestead Avenue. Open bottles of Hennessy liquor and a Stella Artois beer were found in the car, police said.
