Westchester police blotter for Sept. 11
The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Westchester Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.
BATTERY
Jorie Wright-Wilson, 42, of 919 Bellwood Ave., Bellwood, was arrested at 7:23 p.m. Sept. 3 and charged with battery stemming from an incident in Gladstone Park, Gladstone Street and Westchester Boulevard. Wright-Wilson allegedly threw someone to the ground during an argument over a picnic bench.
PROPERTY DAMAGE
Someone broke the window of a vehicle parked on the 700 block of Gardner Road between 10:30 a.m. and 4:15 p.m. Sept. 5. It appeared no one got inside the vehicle.
A tire was slashed on a vehicle parked on the 1300 block of Mannheim Road between Sept. 5 and 3 p.m. Sept. 6.
THEFT
A copper and brass business sign was removed from the Edwin Hancock Engineering Co., 9933 W. Roosevelt Road. The loss is estimated at more than $300.
A flute valued at less than $300 was reported stolen at 10:41 a.m. Friday from a home on the 700 block of Suffolk Avenue. There were no signs of forced entry.
