District 92 1/2 sets early childhood screening date

WESTCHESTER — Westchester Public Schools District 92½ will be conducting a free screening for children 3, 4 and 5 years of age.

The screening will take place at Westchester Primary School, 2400 Downing Ave., Westchester on March 14.

Children will be screened by professionals in the areas of: vision, hearing, speech, language, fine motor, gross motor and cognitive ability. The results of these assessments will provide an indication of the child’s level of development.

Appointments are being taken now through March 5 by calling (708) 450-2700 Ext. 649. All District 92½ parents of preschool aged children are encouraged to participate. Resource and referral information to Child and Family Connections for DuPage and Cook County will also be available for parents knowing of a child with Special Needs under the age of 3.
