Nazareth Academy plans Roadrunner Dash

Nazareth Academy’s Alumni Association will host its inaugural Roadrunner Dash 5k Run/Walk at 8:30 a.m. on April 21, The race is open to the public.

The race will begin and end at Nazareth Academy, 1209 W. Ogden Avenue, LaGrange Park and the route will take participants through the neighborhood of LaGrange Park.

Racers can sign up through It’s Race Time: https://register.itsracetime.com/Register/?event=18793. The race fees are $30 for adults; $25 for children under 18. All participants will receive a Roadrunner Dash 5k T-shirt. No refunds.

Pre-race day packet pick-up will take place on April 20 in the Rooney Student Center at Nazareth Academy from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Check-in and race-day registration will be available 7-8:15 a.m. on April 21. Participants will have until 10:30 a.m. to complete the race. The Roadrunner Dash will be held rain or shine.

As this is an event open to families, children are welcome. Parents with strollers are welcome at the back of the pack. No dogs will be allowed. Refreshments will be available immediately following the race.

Awards for all age brackets will be presented at 9:45 a.m. Medals will be awarded to the top three males and females in the following categories: 11-14 years old; 15-18 years old; and 19 years old and over.
